"Sadistic serial killers are lacking in empathy and inordinately concerned with impression management.” There are only really 2 "traits" necessary for one to be a serial killer: the ability to compartmentalize and dehumanize. As long as someone can compartmentalize from the violent act, the rest of the traits do not matter. Serial killers are unable to provide a reason as to why they commit such horrendous acts. They simply kill for sport. Serial killers kill without remorse. Their reasons can never be fully known or understood. a serial killer, is still a person who lives a normal life, indistinguishable from every other person in the crowd.
